In case of hard, uncontrolled slides the progressive release action allows the base to flex until enough force is applied to pop the base free from its mount unlike a stationary base.
Soft Touch Bases feature a single-molded design with a 7 Inch stem that fits into a ground mount.

The original Stay Down(R) is the only completely portable progressive release base. It does not require a permanent ground anchor so it goes anywhere. Mount secures with three 12 inch spikes.

The Stay Down(R) Convertible base converts stationery bases to Progressive Release(TM) bases without replacing existing ground anchors. The Stay Down(R) Convertible tee fits both 1'' and 1 1/2'' sleeves. Ground anchors for new installations are sold separately.

simulate a real base for purposes of indoor gymnasium practices.
Just like our popular Stay Down® outdoor bases, but adapted
for indoor play. It uses four flexible vinyl suction cups on the
bottom of the mounting "T" to keep the base firmly in
place. Designed for play on wood, tile, or soft rubber surfaces.

The Stay Down Double First Base helps reduce the chances of a collision at first base by providing a separate base for both the fielder and the runner. Uses the Stay Down(R) Convertible ground anchor to fit existing 1'' stake or 1 1/2'' sleeve. Because of the double anchor system, the Double First Base is not a true progressive release.
